This just in from SmartBeijing’s (w!re) column: October’s Beijing show for Las Vegas darlings the Killers has been seriously down-scaled, with LiveNation swapping the 10k capacity MasterCard Center for the 2k capacity ThinkPad Space.
And so the trend continues… Rather than ditching the event entirely a la Aerosmith, LiveNation have taken the prudent decision to change venues. Of course, this presents some major 麻烦 (inconvenience) to fans, who now have to switch their tickets. Tickets issued for the MasterCard Center will be invalid for the relocated show. We imagine the crazy swarm of touts will have a field day tricking last minute buyers with authentic tickets to a cancelled gig.
Is this another example of massive market saturation or simply reasonable demand for a band that passed their sell-by date in 2005?
Luckily for hardcore fans, the show will go on.
